Faktoria of Culture

Faktoria of Culture is a project initiated in 2008 in the amphitheatre of the International Baltic Cultural Park in Pruszcz Gdański, next to the reconstructed ancient trade village from Roman times. One of the main goals of the project is to create a friendly atmosphere for meetings with theater and music taking place every weekend in summer.

Performances and concerts taking place regularly aim at promoting arts, they provide  entertainment and present the latest trends in music and theater to the inhabitants of the city and surroundings. Good selection of artists, creative repertoire and efficient organization have become a trademark of a reliable and unique event, which is gaining more and more loyal viewers and fans.

Every year, during the summer months on the stage of the amphitheatre there are many cultural events, including Summer Stage of Wybrzeże Theatre, concerts within Summer Music Scene, sketch comedies and performances for children.

Summer Stage of Wybrzeże Theatre is the only cultural event of this type in Poland, which is now present in the summer schedule of events throughout the Tricity area. Performances shown in Pruszcz amphitheatre are very popular.

Summer Music Scene is an extremely attractive encounter with music. Over the summer months a lot of famous Polish musicians perform in Faktoria. The citizens of Pruszcz and not only Pruszcz can listen to good music in the open air.

Most sketch comedies watched on TV do not reflect the atmosphere of live performances. Therefore, comedy nights added to the programme of Faktoria of Culture in 2010, were warmly welcomed by the viewers. Incredible artistic level, perfect execution of sketches and monologues with space for brilliant improvisation are the reason that the performances attract crowds.

Performances for children are a great opportunity to spend a summer Sunday outdoors. One can expect well-known fairy tales, lots of music and fun. After the performance, one can visit the nearby  playground with children.
