Pruszcz Gdański is a very important road and rail hub near the roads Gdańsk – Warsaw and Gdańsk – Lódź. The additional advantage of the city is that the Tricity bypass and the A-1 freeway linking north and south of the country run nearby. It is here, just by the A1 freeway that the Baltic Investment Zone is located. There are many well-known companies that have their seats there, for example: Investa, Crown Cork, Polish Post, LPP S.A. and many others.

Reconstruction of the ancient amber trade village (Faktoria) and the Amber Route from the Roman period is a unique tourist product in the country. It is a place full of life that links history with the present, where tourists can feel the spirit of old times. Faktoria consists of: The Chief Hut- museum exposition linking latest multimedia solutions with the richness of archeological findings and the beauty of amber exhibits, the Market Hall- a place of “meetings with living archeology”, the Amber Craftsman Hut – the reconstruction of the workshops and products of this craftsman and the Blacksmith Hut – faithfully reconstructed house and forge.

In the centre of the city there is the most precious monument - the 14th century gothic Saint Cross Church. It has a rich, sculptured in wood and polychrome-plated interior - among others a Renaissance pulpit, a gallery and a baroque organ front. Until 1945 there was also an Antwerpian altar from 16th century here which is now a valuable exhibit of National Museum in Warsaw.
