In Pruszcz there is a very extensive network of walking and cycling paths. One can get from the city centre to all major sites, the train station, the reconstructed amber trade village from Roman times and to the administrative border with Gdańsk. Special boards have been installed on the paths which give them the function of didactic trails. There are two trails: Archaeological discoveries in Pruszcz and the trail of Radunia Canal illustrating key events connected with the history of this place and its surroundings. In the most important points of the paths there are four signs directing tourists to historic sites located in the city centre and eight educational boards containing important information about the paths in Polish and English.
We would like to invite everybody to Folk and Crafts Festival that takes place on 8 June 2013 in the International Baltic Cultural Park in Pruszcz Gdański. We are going to host old and folk music groups from Lithuania and Sweden as well as Polish artists. There will also be many other attractions waiting for our visitors. The detailed programme will be available soon.
‘Craftland – Preservation of cultural heritage of the South Baltic Region’ is a three-year cultural project part-financed by the European Union within South Baltic Cross-Border Cooperation Programme 2007-2013.
The project is implemented in partnership with the City of Silute in Lithuania and Foteviken Museum in Sweden. Our aim is to intensify intercultural dialogue and engage local communities in cross-border activities. There are three types of events, one a year in each partner city, organized within the project.
