About the city

Hofheim, is located just a few kilometers from Frankfurt am Mein and has more than 40,000 inhabitants. Like Pruszcz Gdanski it is a part of a large agglomeration. It is situated on the edge of a wooded mountain massif Taunus and has a unique old town full of shops and cafes. There is a wonderful summer theater and concerts of classical music. In the ‘Stadthalle’ there are theatre performances, concerts and sketch comedies. Hofheim is also the host to many outdoor festivals that attract thousands of people from surrounding areas.

In the city there is also The Municipal Museum built on the foundation of the eighteenth-century historic farm, where one can enjoy a permanent exhibition of local history as well as four new exhibitions each year. The city aqua park attracts nearly 500 000 visitors a year, there is also a golf course.

Partnership

On 29 February 2012 the City Council of Pruszcz Gdański authorized the Mayor to sign the partnership document between the cities of Pruszcz Gdanski and Hofheim. This document was signed on 25 April 2012 in Hofheim. On 19 September 2012 in Pruszcz Gdański the cities signed a letter of intent in which both sides expressed their willingness to intensify their cooperation and especially concentrate on getting to know each other  and promoting the cultural heritage of the two regions.
