Pruszcz Gdański is a part of the Tricity agglomeration, only 10 km from the centre of Gdańsk, at the meeting points of Zulawy and Kashubian Lakeland. It is an important industrial, service, commercial, educational and cultural centre. Pruszcz Gdański occupies an area of 16,5 km2 with over 27 thousand inhabitants. It is a very important road and rail hub near the trunk road number 1 (North – South) and the main railroad E65 linking Gdańsk with Warsaw, Brno, Bratislava and Vienna. A few hundred meters from the investment area is the beginning of the A-1 freeway and the Tricity bypass.
The investment attractiveness of the city is determined by its location near the most important transportation hubs of Pomerania, nearness of Gdańsk, ready market as well as educated and enterprising inhabitants. It is here, just by the A1 freeway that the Baltic Investment Zone is located. There are many well-known companies that have their seats there, for example: Poczta Polska, Cargill, Crown Cork, LPP S.A. and many others.
An undeniable asset of Pruszcz Gdański is the fact that Lech Walesa Airport which is very well communicated with many cities in Europe lies only 20 km from Baltic Investment Zone and there is also a local airport in the city which makes it possible to perform operations of small civil planes. Pruszcz Gdański is a part of Metropolitan Communication Association of the Gdańsk Bay.
