Gdańsk district covers an area of ​​793 km ², of which more than 67% is cultivated land and 17.5% are forests. The Poviat is very diverse in terms of natural conditions. There is a clear division between the so-called upland (western part of the Poviat) with the moraine hills, lakes and river deep troughs and lowland (including flat Żuławy Gdanskie with intensive agricultural production).
